Sara Pogue is the Learning Strategist in the Learning Solutions organization for the Information Technology & Services (IT&S) group of Nashville, TN based Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Ms. Pogue leads the development of strategic learning plans that leverage and grow both business and IT&S capabilities. She serves as learning and technology expertise for the enterprise and well as within the Learning Solutions department.
A seasoned leader, Sara has worked for HCA for over 30 years. She started her career at HCA at a hospital, working as a Critical Care Technician in emergency and critical care areas throughout the facility. She implemented the facility’s first Electronic Medical Record software (EMR) and then moved to the corporate level to participate in the implementation of EMRs across the enterprise. She established Quality Assurance and Process Improvement areas within Implementations and subsequently moved to Process Facilitation within the IT&S Strategy & Planning area. Sara capitalized on that process design experience and moved to the Learning Solutions department where she led the Learning Technology Integration and Process Design teams. While there, she also managed product development and technical support for learning administration, distance learning, and video management systems. She most recently managed a team of learning advisors within the department before taking the role of Learning Strategist.
